Saturday Quiz – July 17, 2010
Welcome to the billy blog Saturday quiz. The quiz tests whether you have been paying attention over the last seven days. See how you go with the following five questions. Your results are only known to you and no records are retained.
Bill –
Do you really mean non zero in question 4? Or do you actually mean positive?
Dear Aidan
Yes, positive is better. I have changed it.
Thanks very much for the scrutiny.
best wishes

How about a reply to Krugman? http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/07/17/i-would-do-anything-for-stimulus-but-i-wont-do-that-wonkish/
I noticed right away that he mis-characterizes MMT (“Deficits are never a problem.”), and some of his assumptions seemed unreasonable to me, but I would like to see a real refutation. :)
Thanks. :)
second that
he’s exposed himself, and is there for the taking
invoking the quantity theory is his fatal critical error in that post
Hopefully, Professor Galbraith will respond to Krugman and note the mis-characterization.
Just read the Krugman post. It’s unfortunate that he has completely distorted MMT.
